Siswa SMAN 3 Denpasar telah menghasilkan berbagai penelitian ilmiah yang memenangkan berbagai kompetisi penelitian dan inovasi baik di tingkat nasional maupun internasional.  Hasil penelitian karya inovasi yang mendukung program dan tujuan Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) yaitu memberdayakan dan melengkapi generasi sekarang dan masa depan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mereka menggunakan pendekatan yang seimbang dan terpadu untuk dimensi ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan dari pembangunan berkelanjutan. Selain pelaksanaan penelitian yang telah memenangkan berbagai lomba penelitian dan inovasi baik tingkat nasional dan internasional, penelitian yang dihasilkan juga didaftarkan Hak Kekayaan Intelektualnya di Dirjen HKI Kemenkumham.  Berikut beberapa topik penelitian siswa yang berkaitan dengan Tujuan SDGs.
